Dave and I married in 1973, and here we are 38 years later!  After living in Boise for 15 years, we moved to the Northwest and still live in Portland.  We have three wonderful kids and Ryan and April have both added amazing spouses to the family in the last couple of years - Nate is probably not far behind!  We've been blessed this year with two beautiful grandbabies - yes, I'll be boring you all with pictures.  Being a grandparent is awesome, as many of you have commented.  Dave continues to work as a full-time artist (he hasn't figured out how to use a computer yet, so probably won't update his profile here).  I'm working as a consultant helping hospitals implement electronic health records, and travel out of state four days a week.  If you fly Southwest, I just may see you on the plane.  Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Soooo..I've been listed as missing on this site - guess I better set the record straight.
Well, I had a fatal accident..fortunately my
injuries were'nt life-threatening, and as it turns out I am alive and well and living in the Seattle burbs with my wife and daughter. I'm been 34 years in the travel business come May when I'm due to retire from Delta Airlines. I met my best friend, partner, (chancellor of the exchequer), lovely wife, Cindy, when she was working for United Airlines in Seattle. We came to parenthood late and in 1997 decided to turn our lives upside down when we traveled to China and brought home our baby girl, Abby Rose, (nee Mao Xi). She turned 15 a few days ago - or was that 20? I forget. She's found her passion in music - plays the flute, piccolo, and bassoon. Plays in the marching band, the pep band, the symphonic band and sings in the Belle Vocce choir. We communicate in a sort of iambic notation - or text from across the room - uh-huh, you know it - typical kid. She's the sunshine of our lives.

When I'm not in the kitchen honing my Benihana-like skills - you my find me in a park chasing a little white ball around with a stick -silly, stupid game - but I love it. Or you might find me crafting objects of burnished brilliance and dubious utility in my woodshop - or looking for little green men through the backyard telescope.

Together, Cindy and I have moseyed around the country and around the world - comes time to cash in our tickets we'll probably end up on Whidbey Island - where my sister and her daughter, my golf buddy Senor Moreno live along with an assortment of dogs, cats, kids, and Lord knows what else. We'll dine on the aquatic fat of Puget Sound - Oh Yeah! - and go to see Abby at Carnegie Hall. (well, you never know!).

A shout out to my lifetime friends and two of the finest people you'll ever find - Mark Slusser and his wife Karla - stay hypermello guys! And the lovely Carolyn Clancy Vaughan - I would have swum the oceans for you - hope you're healthy and happy Hon.

To the two or three people who might ever end up reading this - may the Great God of the universe bless you and keep you and make you to live long and prosper. Now you'll excuse while I go build a dry martini - Ciao!

Comment:
I refuse to believe 40 years has gone by!  I've been married to my husband, Gary, for 37 years and have lived in Eagle for the last 26 years.  We lived in Colorado for about 7 years earlier in our marriage, long enough to find our two oldest children that we adopted and have three others, then moved to Eagle, where we had three more.   We have seven daughters and one son in the middle of them all.  We feel very blessed and are proud of each of our children.  We just married off our "baby" so are official empty nesters now.  We do have a whole bunch of grandkids to keep us company, and with seven daughters, I have lots of "friends."  All my children live locally except one daughter who is finishing up her teaching degree in Provo, and they are thinking of moving here when she and her husband graduate in December.  We've had our challenges like everyone else.  My husband was in the building/plumbing business when the bottom hit, so that didn't work too well.  I've been doing medical transcription from home for St. Luke's hospital and for a local doctor for several years.  I really enjoy this work, and it's nice to be able to do it from home. I can't make the class reunion this year because it's the same weekend as our family reunion, but hopefully will be able to make the next one.
