SFC Army Retired / Mechanic Married 2 2012-08-06 19:55:53
Hey there, I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the reunion this year, I am currently in Kanahar, Afghanistan. I will be here till probably March. I took a private contractor job for one, maybe two years. BUT, my 2nd year will NOT be in Afghanistan or Iraq. I did one tour or duty while in the National Guard, in Afghanistan and that's enough of this country for me.
I married Jacki Huth (fellow classmate) and now going on 39 years, wow. We have two kids, Jake (37) Becca (29) and two grandkids, Mikhael (8) Arabelle (4)
They are so much fun and glad that we are still young enough to really enjoy them. I miss my family so much and I trust that Jacki will have enough fun at the reunion for me too.
I retired the National Guard after 31 years, and retired from the Federal Gvmt after 21 years with them. I am sitting here in the heat, 122 seems to be average temp during the day, nights get as low as 90. I work 12 hrs a day and 7 days a week, long hot hours, hoping it will all be worth it in the end... I will be home for the 45th and the 50th reunion.
Enjoy this one... and take care

Wow, what a ride it has been these past 40 years... and who can even believe it's been that long. Way too much has happened, seems like a blink of an eye; bam...40 years!!
Best of all I married Steve Kelsch, (fellow classmate) and had 2 Kids, Jake  37 and Becca 29. We have 2 grandkids, Mikhael 8 and Belle 4, they sure keep us active and LOVE every minute of it.
I became disabled about 4 years ago, with my spare time I started a non profit organization; Handy Hands Reflections. It has given me purpose, satisfaction and something to do, while helping those going through such a difficult time. We create and donate memory albums for those experiencing the end of life. If you know of anyone who would benefit by recieving one of our personalized albums go to our website; handyhandsreflections.org or email me hhjacki@gmail.com
Hope life is treating you well and hope to see many of you at the reunion, this year and next ones... blessings to you all

Hi everyone, not to much to tell...am married to Alyn and together we have three boys and now have 6 grandchildren and one on the way.  We are members of the Wetwesties VW bus camping club and members of the Blue Mt Oldtime Fiddlers.  I volunteer a music class for CHD clients here and really enjoy that.  Are we voteing on who has the grey-est hair?

2021 Update:  Not much has changed; still fiddle'n and VW camping.  We have, however, gained a couple grandkids.

I am sorry I will not be able to see you wild and crazies this summer. I will be spending a week in Seattle at the Arts Institute training for a new job. I guess they believe that an old dawg can learn new tricks after all! I had a great time at Deb Hiatt's last summer meeting up with about 15 lovely classmates and I was truly looking forward to seeing the larger group this summer.  I haven't retired yet, still teaching.  But I think perhaps retirement is lurking around the corner.  John and I have been married for 36 years now! Our son is in Mongolia and will return with his fiance'. She is immigrating to the U.S. I'm looking forward to the photos you'll post.  When in Cd'A give us a call!  God Bless you all! Find me on FaceBook as Diane Rowen.

As soon as I graduated, we moved to Shoshone, Idaho.  My Dad took over a 3 generation family farm.  I met a girl from Blackfoot.  We dated for 6 months, then got married 6 months later.  We have lived in Blackfoot since and raised 5 children on a farm for 25 years.  Then I took a job with the county road and bridge.  Recently retired 3 years ago.  My wife is still working with 3rd graders.

retired electrical lineman Divorced 2 2012-08-06 19:55:55

Forty years?  Wow!  Where did the time go? Let me just begin by saying my greatest accomplishments are my two daughters. Morgan, 27, just bought her first house in Portland. Kinsey, 19, is attending  school at Washington University in St. Louis. So proud of both of them!
As stated in the 1991 autobiography for the 20th reunion, I married Glenna for comic relief in 1977. Must have stopped laughing cuz she filed for divorce August 1997, and got it.
She also got the Miata and most of the house. I was able to save the jeep and was so broke up over losing the Miata that I replaced it with a '68 Mustang, cuz I could work on it and do a lot.
Then one sunny afternoon with a box of Jiffy Corn Bread Mix, I met the neighbor, Susan, who lives across the culdesac. She is a retired school teacher from Long Beach and she really knows how to cook. The traffic is not too bad crossing the culdesac so I spend a lot of time over there.
As far as work goes, one cold January day I noticed the other linemen that I work with talking to their accountants on their cell phones and using their Laptop Tough Book computers installed in the line trucks while I still unfolded a 3 foot by 2 1/2 foot paper circuit map for reference. I haven't made the leap to technology yet.
I also notice not too many 58 year old linemen in this trade. So, now there is one less!  I retired February 2011. IT IS GREAT!
Okay, at this point if anyone bothered to read this I feel I should leave the reader with a profound statement. Lets see what I got in my kit. Oh!  This is a good one! "If you are not living on the edge you're taking up too much space."
Enjoy the reunion!  Mitch

Well it's been 50 years.  We are getting old.  I still remember high school.  It was fun.  The school administration was a big help.  I really liked Track and Field.  My dream was to go to the Olympics.  The difference is I was not as large as I am now.  I like to work out and stay fit.  I will enjoy meeting everyone.  The last ten years I'm sad over the deaths of some of the classmates.
