Graphic Designer Married 2 2012-08-06 19:55:51
After high school I played and traveled with a group called Young Americans in Concert. While playing with them, we toured the New England states and 6 countries in Europe. As part of the tours, we played Carnegie Hall and also played in the White House for then president Nixon. In England we played a command performance for the Queen in Royal Albert Hall, for the King of Luxembourg, and in Rome we played a command performance for the Pope.

After that I attended The College of Idaho for a couple of years while I also auditioned at several orchestras around the country (yep, still traveling). During my college years I played with the Boise Philharmonic and the orchestras at the College and also at NNC (now NNU).

AFter college I got the wanderlust again and started traveling around the United States. I worked at a LOT of different jobs before settling into the printing and graphic design industry. I settled in Colville, Washington for a few years (north of Spokane) and started working for the local newspaper. It wasn't very long before I was bored again, so I established my own print shop and struck out on my own again. During this time I got married and now have 2 daughters, Laura (28) and Lisa (24), and a grandson Aiden (6) all who live in San Antonio, Texas.

Fast forward a few years and I've sold my business, been through a divorce, moved to Spokane, remarried to Donna (best thing I ever did), and now work for the Spokane newspaper, The Spokesman-Review. I've been there 15 years working in the Prepress Department. I do graphic design work, ad processing, web projects, and all the special one-of-a-kind projects for the owners. It's pretty fun and sometimes challenging. When I married Donna I gained another daughter, Cathy, and two more grandsons, Jacob (22) and Beau (14).

While living in Spokane, I played for 6 years with the Spokane Symphony. I also played and sang at church every week, and I started writing and recording some of my own music.

Who knew getting to this point in my life would be so interesting. We've all used the phrase, "If I had only known then what I know now..." Well, there are very few things I would change (although there are a couple of experiences I could have done without), because my life has been rich in experiences and travel, and now I get to spend my remaining years with Donna. All-in-all, it's been a really good life.
